Homemade Almond Milk (Using Nut Milk Bag)

Ditch store-bought and make your own creamy, fresh almond milk at home in just a few simple steps! This recipe is naturally dairy-free, customizable, and filled with clean ingredients you can feel good about.

Ingredients (organic/biodynamic)

  • 1 c. raw almonds /Marcona almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 4 c. filtered water
  • Optional:
    • 1-2 dates (for sweetness)
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    • Pinch of Celtic Sea Salt®

Instructions:

  1. Place almonds in a bowl, cover with water, and soak overnight (8-12 hours). Drain and rinse well.
  2. Add drained, soaked almonds, 4 cups of filtered water, and (optional) pitted dates, vanilla extract, and/or a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt® to a blender. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place a nut milk bag over a large bowl or jug. Pour the almond mixture into the bag. Gently squeeze and massage the bag to strain all the liquid — this is your almond milk!
  4.  Pour the almond milk into a glass jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Shake well before using!
