- 2 firm, ripe pears (Bartlett or Bosc are ideal)
- 1-inch piece of vanilla bean, seeds scraped
- ½ tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 c. water
Instructions
- Peel the pears if you prefer a softer texture; slice them in half and remove the cores.
- Place pears in a steamer basket over simmering water. Add vanilla and cinnamon to the water below. The steam will infuse the pears with flavor as they soften.
- Cover and steam the pears for 8–10 minutes, until tender.
- Serve warm, with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon.
