Colorful Composed Salad Recipe

A healthy diet includes all the colors of the rainbow to ensure you are getting a variety of needed nutrients. This colorful composed salad contains an assortment of healthy fruits and vegetables. You don’t need to use all of the ingredients; use this as a guide and create your own favorite composition. Ingredient options (all organic/biodynamic)

Romaine lettuce and/or other leafy greens
Multicolored carrots (peeled and sliced)
Marcona almonds, walnuts, or toasted pine nuts
Multicolored radishes (sliced)
Medjool dates (pitted and diced)
Multicolored bell peppers (cut into thin slices, or coarsely chopped)
Multicolored cherry tomatoes
Broccoli or cauliflower florets, coarsely chopped
Persian cucumber, sliced
Avocado, cut into small pieces
Olives, chopped (or olive tapenade)
Raspberries or blackberries
Apples and/or pears, diced
Mango, peeled and chopped
Kiwi, peeled and chopped
Edible flowers
Juice of one lime
Celtic Sea Salt®
Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Place leafy greens into a large serving bowl.
  2. Add ingredients of choice, creating a rainbow of colors in the bowl.
  3. Add lime juice, salt, and pepper and toss together.
  4. Top with edible flowers.
  5. Serve, and enjoy!
