Sleep Promoting Golden Milk Recipe

Enjoy the yummy recipe below. To be served warm and right before bedtime!


  • 8 ounces unsweetened almond milk 
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, or 1½ teaspoons fresh grated turmeric 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, or 1 thin slice of fresh ginger 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 1 Pinch black pepper 
  • Optional: nutmeg, cardamom, star anise, clove
  • Optional sweeteners: raw honey or maple syrup to taste


  1. Whisk ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer (not boil) 
  2. Lower the heat to maintain a simmer for 2 minutes, whisking frequently. 
  3. Pour into a mug and add a natural sweetener if desired to taste.
  4. Enjoy!
