Ingredients (all organic/biodynamic)

Homemade Corn Tortillas

  • 1 c. masa harina (corn flour specifically for making tortillas)
  • ⅔ to ¾ c. warm water
  • ¼ tsp Celtic Sea Salt® (optional but recommended)

Salmon

  • 2 fresh salmon filets
  • ½ tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. Celtic Sea Salt
  • ¼ cayenne powder (optional- adjust to your spice preference)

Instructions

Tortillas

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup masa harina, 2/3 to 3/4 cup warm water, and 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional) to make a soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into four equal portions and shape them into balls. Let them rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Take one dough ball, flatten it slightly, and use a tortilla press or rolling pin between plastic wrap to shape it into a thin, round tortilla.
  5. Cook the tortilla for 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side until lightly browned and puffed up.
  6. Transfer the cooked tortilla to a plate lined with a kitchen towel and cover to keep it warm. Repeat the shaping and cooking process for the remaining dough balls.
  7. Keep tortillas covered until ready to use.

Salmon

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. While the air fryer preheats, prepare the salmon rub by combining all of your spices into a small bowl.
  3. Spread the rub evenly on both salmon filets and cook in air fryer for 7-10 minutes depending on preferred doneness.
  4. Once salmon is done, lay your desired amount of fish on each homemade taco shell and top with desired toppings. These tacos pair wonderfully with our Mango Pineapple Sunshine Salsa Recipe.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy these refreshing and nutritious salmon tacos.
